A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated §47-11C-9, relating to requiring service stations that sell motor fuel to the public have backup generators for use during emergencies.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:


That the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended by adding thereto a new section, designated §47-11C-9, to read as follows:


ARTICLE 11C. WEST VIRGINIA PETROLEUM PRODUCTS FRANCHISE ACT.


§47-11C-9. Service stations having backup generators.

In order that motor fuel is available during times of emergency all service stations that sell motor fuel to the public shall have backup generators for the operation of their fuel pumps during their normal business hours.


 

NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to require service stations that sell motor fuel to the public have backup generators for use during emergencies.
